Information

Follow the gentle glow of a traditional lantern and discover the enchanting night of Jinju.

‘Lantern Night Walk’ is an atmospheric nighttime journey through Jinju's historical, cultural, and natural attractions, with a traditional lantern in hand.

Walk through the sites with an expert guide, listen to the stories and history behind each place, and after the walk, enjoy warm traditional tea and dasik while taking in a live performance by local Jinju artists.

This program runs for a total of 4 sessions, each offering a different way to experience the enchanting night of Jinju.

During the Session 1 and 2, walk through Jinjuseong Fortress while listening to the stories of General Kim Si-min, the Battle of Jinju, Chokseoknu Pavilion, and Nongae, a courageous woman remembered for her sacrifice during the battle. Take in the beautiful nighttime views of the Namgang River along the way.

In Session 3, visit the Jinju Bronze Age Culture Museum to discover the daily lives and culture of prehistoric people.

In Session 4, stroll along the forest trails of Seonhaksan Mountain and enjoy panoramic nighttime views of Jinju's old downtown and the Namgang River.

After the walk, unwind with a peaceful traditional tea experience.

Enjoy warm traditional tea and dasik, while taking in an intimate live performance by a local artist, specially prepared for each session.

This is more than a simple nighttime sightseeing tour. It is a special evening where the gentle glow of the lantern, the stories of Jinju, tea, and art come together as one.

Take a break from your busy everyday life and slow down. Walk, listen, and take in the scenery as you immerse yourself in the beauty of Jinju at night.
