[Gyeongsangbukdo Andong] Making Korean Totem Pole & Sotdae experience

Making Korean totem pole and Sotdae by following the guidance of Korea's totem pole master Jongheung Kim! 

This is a special experience to watching the various region's Korean totem pole directly and learn about the distinctive as well.

• [Making Korean Totem Pole] - Sketch the design on the solid pine tree (approx height: 50~80cm) and express the eyes and nose of the Totem pole using the carving knife.

• Coloring the Korean totem pole with various paint and engraving the name or phrase on it. 

• See the various Korean totem pole artworks made by Jongheung Kim at Moksukwon and also learn the points of each region's totem pole!

• [Making Sotdae experience] - Making a pole that serving as a pipe between the sky and the ground by carving the shape of a bird.

• Making a tiny cute bird shape and put it into the carved branch and complete your very own Sotdae works!

Experience Process

[Making Korean Totem Pole]

Duration: 120 minutes

• Sketch the Totem Pole face on the Pine tree(30minutes) → Bark peeling of the tree(30minutes) → Engraving the eyes and nose on the Totem Pole(30minutes) → Coloring and engraving the name(30minutes) 

[Making Sotdae(Korean Stone Pillar)]

Duration: 120 minutes

• Making Bird's body(30minutes) → Making Bird's head(30minutes) → Making Pole(30minutes) → Structure and Wrap up(30minutes) 

1. Make the reservation after choosing the desired date and time.

Check the voucher sent to the email/mobile phone.

※ A voucher will be sent right after your booking is confirmed.

3. Please make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before the day of the reservation. 

4. Present the voucher to the staff and proceed with the experience.

• [Andong Bus Terminal/Andong Station] Get on the Taxi to [Moksukwon] → Approximately 20 mins (approx. 27,000 won [KRW])

• [Moksukwon] parking lot and  [Andong Hahoe Village Public Parking] parking lots are available. 

1. If the reservation is unavailable due to the company's situation or weather condition, you will be contacted by the CS Team via email.

2. This experience is available for those above the age of 7. 

• Cancellation 3 days before booking date (5 PM KST): 100% Refund

• Cancellation 2 days before booking date (5 PM KST): 50% Refund

• Cancellation after: No Refund
